Here in Florida one of the main considerations a surf fishermen has to keep in mind when planning a trip is wind direction and speed. The speed and direction of the wind can either make a trip rather sucessful or quite difficult. Here is the ideal wind for surf fishing!
When fishing the east coast:
- Wind out of the west (knocks down the size of the surf)
- Wind less than 15 knots (any higher will lead to bows in the line)
- Any wind out of the South will work as well, but can not have high speeds!
