I spent the day fishing from the Sunglow Pier in South Daytona Beach. I arrived just before sunrise and had my first bait in the water in about 5 mintues.
The day started off slow. The only catch before 8am
was a very small whiting by a pier regular. At about 9am I caught my first fish of the day. A 15″ flounder:
This flounder was caught under the bridge using a live shrimp. A few anglers around me caught a flounder or two as well, before the bite slowed down. For the next few hours all that was caught was a few sheepshead, and a small jack. After catching 2 undersized sheepsheads, I decided to call it a day.
