Whiting are one of the most commonly caught fish from Florida’s shores. They are not only abundant but they are also quite tasty. Whiting can be prepared many ways but one favorite is Beer Battered Fried Whiting.
Beer Battered Fried Whiting
Ingredients:
- Whiting Filets
- Pancake Batter
- Beer (lagers are best)
- Vegetable Oil
Directions:
Mix batter and beer until the batter has a slightly runny constancy but will still stick to the fish. Dredge a boneless/skinless filet through the batter and place in 400-degree oil. Let fry until the batter turns a golden brown.
Remove from the oil and let dry on a paper towel. Serve with tarter sauce and enjoy!
